Records of Pte. Blackwell (WWII)

Sometimes we are contacted by family members who wish to share the stories of their relatives who were part of the Regiment as it stood in WWII.

At some point we would like to formulate a database to aid others in finding more information about their relatives or the comrades that they fought with.

We were contacted by someone who is looking into a friends relative (Pte Blackwell) who was a member of B Squadron, 3 Troop, and participated in the D-Day landings as a crew member of a flail/crab tank. Unfortunately they have no other information such as service numbers.

Hopefully as we build out the database we will be able to uncover more information.

If you do know anything then please comment !

We were contacted by someone who is looking into a relative who enlisted in the WDs in 1915. According to the Windsor & Eton Express of 12 June 1915 (copy attached), he joined the WDs. But no further records can be found, other than his service with the Royal Fusiliers 1917-1919 from Ancestry.

Hopefully as we build out the database we will be able to uncover more information.

Records of Tpr Milsom (WWII)

Sometimes we are contacted by family members who wish to share the stories of their relatives who were part of the Regiment as it stood in WWII. At some point we would like to formulate a database to aid others in finding more information about their relatives or the comrades that they fought with.

For now we will leave it here to hopefully pick up again soon !

My late brother told me he had been in Normandy but cant be sure..His home regiment was the Gloucestershire Hussars but as you can see…
