This weekend, the United Kingdom will observe Remembrance Sunday.

We do this to remember, honour, and commemorate those who have sacrificed their lives in all wars.

We remember the service members, British and Commonwealth, and their contributions in building and maintaining a democratic society of peace and freedom.

Westminster Dragoons, along with the wider @theroyalyeomanry will participate in acts of rememberance across the country.

With summer in full swing, here's a shot from our Battlefield Study cum Adventurous Training trip in Türkiye, 2022.

Troops examined the combat at Gallipoli, visiting the locations of key battles and paying respects at Commonwealth war memorials. Afterwards, the trip transitioned into adventurous activities consisting of canyoning, riding, snorkelling, kayaking and even paragliding!

With an assortment of ranks and even some of our regular counterparts present, the trip gave troops the opportunity to expand their intellectual and physical horizons.

Our troopers have been hard at work learning to operate Heavy Machine Guns.

Used on static positions and atop our Jackal platform, each 50.cal HMG fires a 12.7mm round.

Seen here during a Platform Weapon Operators course, all troopers within F Sqn @westminsterdragoonsry and the @theroyalyeomanry are expected to master the weapon.

Several members of F Sqn have taken the opportunity to learn the ropes aboard Army Offshore Sailing Centre boats giving them more experience towards their RYA crew competency qualifications.

Working closely with other members of the @theroyalyeomanry and @royalyeomanryband, soldiers learned how to operate Hallberg Rassy sailing vessels in the waters of the Solent.
